🗺️ Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO GANGTOK
<p>Drive Gangtok,126kms, and 5-6 hours. Hours.Bagdogra is the nearest airport where as njp (new jalpaiguri) is the closest railway station to sikkim. Drive to Gangtok passes through a lush green vegetation adjacent to it river teesta flows in a vibrant current. Tran<span style="font-size: 16px;">sfer to hotel.</span></p>
DAY 2: GANGTOK LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
<p>Tour around Gangtok including handloom and handicraft, Ganesh Tok, flower show, chorten monastery, institute of tibetology, tashiview point. Flower show houses large number of flower as well the ornamental plants of sikkim. During the flowering season, exhibitions and competitions are held here. Sikkim has around 4000 species of flowering plants. Institute of tibetology houses large number of buddhist scriptures as well acts as museum. Tashiview point provides an excellent view of mount kanchendzonga and far-flung north sikkim villages. Telescopic view of mountains is available. Chorten stupa is situated near tibetology.</p>
DAY 3: GANGTOK TO CHANGU LAKE BABA MANDIR (NATHULA OPTIONAL - Extra Cost)
<p>Babamandir and nathula are situated in same circuit in high altitude area. Tsong is at 12400 feet, babamandir app. At 13000feet and nathula is at 14600 feet. Tsongo lake is an alpine lake with lots of rainbow trout though it is a sacred lake of sikkim. Visitors are not allowed to do boating and entering the lake. Baba mandir is situated much higher with a mandir established and maintained by 17th mountain brigade. Baba harbajan a soldier who perished in a gushing river in 1960 later re surfaced to protect the border of indo-china. Nathula pass is gateway to tibet and before chinese aggression this used to be only a silk route to lhasa. Nathula to lhasa is only 470 kms. Trade is being carried out between the tibet autonomous region (tar) and local sikkimese in the indian side. Gangtok to tsongo?Baba mandir drive is one of the most interesting as it provides an altitudinal changes along with the vegetation changes. During winter the region is full of snow. Nathula is opened for visitors on the following days: wednesday, thursday, friday,saturday and sunday.</p>
DAY 4: GANGTOK TO LACHUNG, NORTH SIKKIM
<p>Have a stomach-filling breakfast and start your day early by checking out from the hotel in gangtok and proceeding towards lachung. It is a mountain village perched at a height of 8800 feet and is close to the tibetan border. It is also home to the 19th-century buddhist lachung monastery. Surrounded by apple orchards, the destinations mesmerising beauty is awe-inspiring.</p>
<p>Singhik view point and seven sisters waterfalls<br />
En-route, visit the singhik view point and seven sisters waterfalls. The viewpoint is a paradisiacal retreat from the loudness of the cities. It offers its visitors’ a stunning view of mt. Kanchenjunga and mt siniolchu. The seven sisters waterfall is one of the most pristine waterfalls in the region. It derives its name from the fact that it cascades in seven stages and is extremely captivating.</p>

DAY 5 : LACHUNG TO YUMTHANG VALLEY
<p>Yumthang valley that stands for ‘the valley of flowers’ is your destination for today. After kick-starting your day with a toothsome breakfast meal, check out from the hotel and drive to reach 11,800 feet above sea level to this valley.</p>

<p>Have lunch at one of the picturesque cafés and then depart for gangtok. On the way, witness the serenity of bheema and twin waterfalls. It is not very commercialised and is nestled in the middle of the dense forests. The gushing waters makes it an experience of a kind.</p>

DAY 6: GANGTOK TO PELLING
<p>Pelling is a new tourist destination, which has sprung up to feed the west sikkim tourism circuit. Pelling provides excellent view of kanchendzonga range. Khechuperi lake which is about 13km from pelling is yet another sacred lake of sikkim. It is believed that once you visit the lake and wish in your mind will be fulfilled. The lake is in the shape of a buddha’s foot and all around rich forest cover, guards the habitats. Lake provides shelter to large number of birds.</p>
DAY 7: PELLING SIGHTSEEING
<p>Drive for Sight Seeing of Pelling and its surroundings – Places of visit are Rimbi water Falls, Kanchenjunga waterfall, Darap Village, Orange Garden Garden, Kechopalri Lake – which is one of the holy Buddhist lakes and it is believed that any wish in front of the lake comes true – The myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird and thus the water surface is always free of leaves. sightseeing includes, Skywalk – a glass sky walk located nea Cherizig statue & Pemayangtse Monsatery – The scenic beauty surrounding it is mesmerizing. DAY 8: TRANSFER TO NEW JALPAIGURI/ IXB AIRPORT
